Curb Rash Repair
That ugly scrape along the lip? Gone. Blended back to a factory finish.
Curb rash is the scraping you get when a wheel kisses a curb or parking block. It’s the most common wheel damage we see — and one of the most satisfying to fix. Left alone, deep rash strips the protective clear coat and exposes bare aluminum that oxidizes and spreads, so it’s not purely cosmetic. We sand out the gouge, fill, prime, colour-match and clear-coat the damaged section so it disappears.
How we do it
Assess & mask
We inspect the depth of the rash and mask off the tire and good areas of the wheel.
Sand & fill
The gouge is sanded flat and, where needed, filled and re-shaped to the original profile.
Prime & colour-match
We prime, then match your factory colour by eye — silver, machined, gloss black, whatever it is.
Clear & cure
A fresh clear coat is applied and cured so the repair is sealed and invisible.
Common questions
Curb rash repair typically costs about $95–$250 per wheel, depending on how deep the damage is and the finish. Light scuffs are on the low end; deep gouges cost a bit more. It’s usually a same-day job — text us a photo for an exact quote.
Yes. A proper repair sands out the gouge, fills and re-shapes it, colour-matches the paint and re-clears the area so it looks factory-new. Done right, you won’t be able to see where the damage was.
For most cosmetic curb-rash repairs, yes — we can work with the tire on. Straightening, welding and powder coating all require the tire to come off, but we handle the dismount and remount for you.
Most curb rash and bent-rim straightening are same-day (often 1–2 hours). Powder coating takes 1–3 days because of curing time, and cracked-wheel welding is usually about a day. We’ll give you a firm turnaround when we quote it.
